Blood Pressure Clinics
- The Senior Center offers a free blood pressure clinic on the first Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. sponsored by the Cooley Dickinson Hospital Auxiliary. The service is offered on a walk- in basis. No reservations are needed.

Foot Clinics
- Dr. Michael Coby offers foot clinics on the third Wednesday of every month, from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. His fee is $25. Call 587-1228 for an appointment.

S.H.I.N.E. Counselor (Health Insurance)
- SHINE (Serving Health Information Needs of Elders) provides confidential, free, unbiased health insurance counseling for Medicare beneficiaries. Trained certified counselors are available on Fridays from 1-4 p.m., by appointment. Brown Bag Food for Elders
- The Brown Bag distribution for Northampton takes place on the second Thursday of every month. Each bag contains approximately 12 meals and includes a healthy mix of protein, vegetables, fruits, dairy and grains. If you are a senior living on a limited income, you probably qualify. Call The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts at 247-9738 or the social worker at 587-1226.

Low Vision Support Group
- The Low Vision Support Group meets the first Thursday of the month from 12-2 p.m., March through December. For more information, please call the social worker at 587-1226. There is no fee for this support group and transportation is provided.

Massage and Bodyworks Clinics
- Bodywork and massage clinics are offered for Northampton seniors and their caregivers, through the Hands-On Elders Program. Licensed clinicians provide the services. The fee for a session is $10. Pre-registration is required. For more information, call the Senior Center at 587-1228.

Fuel Assistance Applications
- The Council on Aging can help Northampton area senior citizens with fuel assistance applications. Income limits apply and documentations are required. Call the social worker at 587-1226 for an appointment.

Food Stamps (SNAP) Program
- The Food Stamp program has a new name, SNAP, also known as the Supplemental Nutritional Program. Benefits may be available for you and your family. Income limits apply. For an application contact the Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance 1- 866-950-FOOD or call the social worker at 587-1226.

Emergency Food Pantry
- The Northampton Council on Aging & Senior Center’s emergency food pantry serves Northampton area seniors who are in need of food. If you or someone you know is a Northampton senior and in need of emergency food, please contact the social worker at 587-1226. The NCOA is also collecting non- perishable food for the pantry. Please leave your non-perishable food items at the front desk. We can only accept non-perishable, non-expired, food items.

- Medical Equipment
- The Senior Center maintains a small collection of durable medical equipment, which is loaned free of charge to Northampton seniors ages 60 and up. Call 587-1228 for details.

- Low Vision Machine
- If you are having a difficult time reading or writing due to low vision, the Senior Center has a low vision reading machine available in the library at no cost.
